Free Level Test 2017-09-19T00:07:52+00:00

What is my level?

If you are thinking about doing a language course but you are not sure what level of English you have, you can take a free English Level Test at Leeds English Language School.

The test takes just over an hour and includes three sections:

  • Grammar (30 minutes)
  • Writing (30 minutes)
  • Speaking (5-10 minutes)

When can I do the test?

The best time to come for the test is between 13:00 and 15:00, Monday – Friday. Alternatively, you can contact us to book an appointment: [email protected]

Where do I go to take the test?

Please come to our school on Burley Road (LS4 2PX).

How many levels are there?

At Leeds English Language School, we offer 6 different levels of General English courses (Beginner, Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate and Advanced). In addition, we also offer IELTS exam preparation courses, which are suitable for Upper Intermediate and Advanced level students.

How long does it take to complete a level?

The school has 5 terms per year, with each term lasting ten weeks. Each level is therefore designed to be studied over ten weeks, but you can join us for a minimum of two weeks. We recommend starting your course at the beginning of the term (see term dates). However, new students can usually join at any time (starting any Monday) with the exception of the final week of the term, as this is when the end of course exams take place.
