The annual Leeds English Winter Party was a great success!
At our favourite local venue, Left Bank Leeds, we enjoyed a delicious freshly-made breakfast. We had fun playing games and quizzes and our school raised money for a local charity through donations and a raffle…

Over 100 students and staff arrived for the delicious Turkish-style breakfast. Fresh fruit, pastries, salad and cheeses alongside fresh coffee, teas and fruit juice was appreciated by everyone.
After breakfast, students took part in a festive-themed quiz which was won by Mathew from Hong Kong. Well done, there were some difficult questions this year!
It wouldn’t be a party without games, would it?
For the first time ever, we played musical chairs and it was very entertaining. Staff demonstrated how to play first, with a very competitive round ending with Susan as the winner, followed by Bob in second place.
Once the students had a go, we moved on to “pass the parcel”, with forfeits and word challenges on each turn to make it more interesting!
At Leeds English, we are very proud of our hardworking students and we like to show our appreciation by celebrating together. A special guest, Santa Claus (who looked a lot like our teacher, Stephen), took time out from his busy schedule to help present the student awards.
Rashed (who we mentioned in our previous blog post) was awarded ‘Student of the Year 2019’ and many more students have done brilliantly, which we all saw at the party! A big thank you to everyone who attended and studied at Leeds English this year. We’ll see you in 2020!
