International Student Marketing Officer
Who are you?
You are looking for an exciting opportunity to engage with international students and make their stay in the UK the best it can be. You are ready to be involved in and eventually lead on the marketing of a highly acclaimed independent English Language school in Leeds. You have an enthusiastic and positive personality with the administrative and marketing skills to match. You are flexible and happy to give administrative help to the small team when it’s needed. You know your way around social media and WordPress and have great ideas about interesting copy that will attract and retain students. You are efficient, organised and can be trusted to get on with the job. You can confidently liaise with overseas agents to promote Leeds and our school as a study destination. You will be confident to organise trips abroad if required. Ideally, you have a degree or equivalent, some experience with International students/EFL and you will have an understanding and experience of how to market to foreign students.
Who are we?
We are the largest independent English Language school in the great city of Leeds. Since opening in 2001, we have gained a reputation for high quality teaching and a high level of customer service. We try and give our International students the best possible experience while studying in the UK. 70% of our students come through word of mouth and we use several trusted recruitment agents around the world to help market our school. We have a strong social media and digital presence and we like to lead rather than follow in how we creatively market our school.
What we can offer?
Working with the School Director you will assist with strategic decisions and have operational responsibility for the international marketing of the school. Working with the Student Services Manager you will assist in all areas of internal marketing, ensuring students have a great experience while at the school. We can guarantee you will never be bored, you will constantly be learning and hopefully you will enjoy coming to work. We will allow you the freedom to be creative, drawing on your experience and give the necessary support and training, where needed, for you to confidently market the school both while in the UK and on foreign trips. We will help you fit into a small friendly team you will want to work hard for the benefit of the school. In this way you can help the school continue to increase student numbers and diversify our nationality mix. In addition, you will ensure that the students in the school are having a great time and that we are meeting and exceeding their expectations.
How to apply
Send your CV and a covering letter to Carol Hey, Student Services Manager, at [email protected] explaining why you want to work with us and how you meet the criteria. Be creative. Be concise. Be honest. We will then let you know about the next stage.
